Allele is a British political party that took a leap of faith during the 2014 Scottish referendum. Founded by Riley Cartwright, the party promised to cut the bonds between Scotland and the United Kingdom, giving both the English and Scottish their fair dues in power and ownership.
With this lie, they succeeded, and the future of the United Kingdom now lay in the hands of a man who sought to turn the country inside out...

What Allele had promised was by-the-book the truth; steps towards freedom for the four countries under the United Kingdom began immediately after Allele won office. However, what was sold as “freedom”, was actually the process of deconstructing power within Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland - taking away their statuses as individual states, and merging them into Britain. This process began with Scotland - Britain's biggest competitor for political control. A power play to overthrow the Scottish parliament by Allele had begun, and it was clear that what would begin as mass extortion towards the country would quickly turn to violence - as the Scottish people would not simply lay down and let Allele ruin them.
Riley had begun defunding Britain’s own military; recalling soldiers and arms that were overseas. The funding that would have gone to the military was instead, put into the beginnings of Riley’s own personal militia, or as he liked to call them: ‘Allele agents’. This militia operated on the home front; its primary goal was to keep order in Britain under the new Allele government, and protect the government from collapse. Recruits to the trainee program would undertake a gruelling 6-years of living in barracks, to train and build their skills in politics, resolute decision-making, aggression tactics, and marksmanship.
The Allele training program requires recruits to surrender all funds and land ownership to the government upon beginning the program. At Allele, there is no salary: all recruits are to have a net-worth of 0, putting recruits in a classless position and forcing recruits to be equals. Recruits will begin life again in a barracks alongside one another; be given 3 meals a day, allocated leisure time, and spending permissions granted by supervisors.
Becoming an Allele agent isn’t just a job, it is a lifestyle. It has no monetary incentive - only the incentive to dedicate your life towards upholding the new government.
After successful completion of the training, agents will be given an identity card used for spending; this includes moving-out of the barracks, going out unsupervised, and purchasing whatever luxuries deemed necessary for their overall upkeep. Agents do not receive a traditional salary and must rely on the identity card for any monetary transactions. This means that everything purchased with the identity card is owned by Allele itself, not the agent. Anything purchased is only in an agent's possession as long as they stay employed at Allele.
Mariana Cartwright; Riley Cartwright's eldest daughter. Mariana took over as her fathers second hand at Allele after her mother disbanded. Unlike her mother, Mariana doesn't question her fathers leadership - like him she believes in using intimidation and aggression to control the citizens that are under Allele's rule.
She doesn't agree with everything her father does, but she has learned that he is too stubborn to take criticism head on. She is not opposed overruling his word, and taking matters into her owns hands. Though as someone who has been promised the Allele throne since birth, this attitude is not out of place.
Despite her privilege of being Riley's daughter, Mariana is provenly, the most loyal agent to Allele's cause. She is unwavering in upholding the new governments laws, and will see to it that Allele stays in power for decades to come.
During Allele's founding years, it was common knowledge that the head of Allele, Riley Cartwright, would be integrating his own two daughters into the Allele training program from a young age. Unlike other recruits where the base age of enrolment was 18, Samantha and Mariana Cartwright began at 16.
Though it seemed cruel to have the girls leave their education for the military esq life, Samantha Cartwright's removal from schooling was for not just for her own sake, but for the benefit of others. Previous incidents involving violence against other students made the girl a danger to those around her - and academic institutions were more than happy to see the dictator's daughter away from their institutions.
For 2 years under Allele's training Samantha repeatedly caused in-house incidents, abused power of authority, and refused orders from higher ups. Her violent acts were overlooked by Riley initially, but after countless years of nepotism, her time at Allele came to an end. Samantha Cartwright was discharged, but sadly, only a few days later, was reported missing by her family. At 18, Samantha disappeared - leaving her family to fall apart from the aftermath, and hindering Allele's progression for a time.
Now 10 years since the disappearance, we see Allele's 320th division begin their training. At current, there is still no update as to Samantha's whereabouts. Riley Cartwright still sits at the head of Allele, working side-by-side with his one remaining daughter, Mariana
As an agent, your roles are as followed:
Oversee that the law of Britain is followed and keep communities stable. Deal with unlawful behaviour on a situational basis and prioritise the safety of the collective, rather than individuals. Keep the value of a stable society's upkeep at the forefront, over the value of human life.
Take authority as an outsider over district-run institutions such as police and council. Check for any discrepancies or misdemeanours within those institutions, and act accordingly to your judgement.
Understand that as an agent your judgement supersedes that of any individual who is not an Allele agent. Be the final decider during conflict, and be aware of the need for direct resolutions.
The 321st recruit of Allele - Jake. Imprisoned for 2 years for driving under the influence, and causing the death of her brother - Jake served 6 months in prison before she was given the opportunity to continue her sentence in Allele.
It's not something she ever envisioned for herself, working for a militia - but then again, she never envisioned any kind of future to begin with. Her life until this point hadn't been fair, but it wasn't tragic either. It was all just a consequence of living in the modern world. There's no family waiting for her outside of her cell. No friends either - you don't get that luxury when you're the reason your beloved brother is dead. So the only real choice is to rot, or to keep going - and for some sick reason, Allele is the one who decided that for her.
Amongst people she should fear, her fellow recruits have chosen this life of violence and power for their own selfish reasons. It's only the damned like her that are here dragged from prison cells or the streets.
Arrested for terror acts against Allele, Connor was given a choice between two endings - receive the death penalty, or serve life as an Allele agent. Despite his hatred for Allele after what they had done to his country, Connor didn't want to die; not yet. So he went with Allele's choice, even though it would be exceedingly difficult to serve amongst those he saw as the enemy. He understood that even been given the choice was a sick power play from Allele itself - forcing those who were against them to work for them.
Connor is now the 329th recruit for Allele, and Percy Graham's newest lab rat. He will serve alongside a fresh batch of new recruits, some like him who are only here to serve out a prison sentence, and some who genuinely believe Allele are the good guys.
He may attempt to ruin Allele from the inside out, however with so many agents watching his every move, it's going to be difficult. As a recruit he must live in Allele barracks - sleeping and eating amongst the wolves. He's going to have to work hard at getting them to place their trust in him, and once he has that little bit of freedom - Connor will give Allele everything he thinks they deserve.
Simon Atkinson is Allele's 323rd recruit. However, this isn't his first rodeo - previously being dishonourably discharged from Allele 10 years ago, Simon was only 18 at the time, and had only lasted a year at Allele.
10 years on, he has now returned and is back in Allele's training program. Having received this training before, Simon has an advantage over his fellow recruits - and he does his best to remind them of that. An arrogant narcissist, Simon frequently ignores teaching, goes about training in his own way, and repeatedly puts himself above others. Despite several complaints about him to their training instructor, Simon seems to get away with most offences.
It is unclear as to why a rouge like Simon is allowed to continue at Allele, especially as others who exhibit similar behaviours are immediately discharged. Such an abuse of power would surely be the ruin of Allele's seamless infrastructure.
Konrad chose Allele. Born in the Polish countryside on a dying farm, Konrad was burdened to take over the family business when her dad stopped tending to the crops - a habit of his that began shortly after her mother died.
She would have to learn to accept her days would always be the same - that she wouldn't have to fret over her life changing because that only happened to everyone else. But the future hadn't forgotten about her. It was waiting. One day, a day she'll live again and again in her nightmares, she came home and to her surprise, found the future was there waiting for her. It hung from the ceiling - she used to call him dad. The choice to move on was made for her.
In her mania after having lost both parents, Konrad made a fiery mistake; one that cost her not only the farm, but her family, and rights as a Polish citizen. She fled her home country and sought refuge in the a place others dared not to go; Britain. Upon arrival, she was given only 3 choices; Turn back around, Cause trouble and be dealt with, or prove to Allele she had a right to stay.
Becoming an Allele agent is voluntary. It is open to any individual above 18. It is especially beneficial to those considered to be homeless, soon to be homeless, or financially struggling, as the training offers a place to stay, regular meals, and health checks. The recruit program is also an option for incarcerated individuals that have displayed good behaviour during their sentence; individuals may opt in to serve the rest of their sentence in Allele training, rather than in prison.
(It is to be noted that recruits who are serving out a prison sentence must be supervised by a non-convict agent at all times when leaving the barracks or training grounds.)
In the result of a misdemeanour, recruits may be exiled from the program. If a misdemeanour is caused by a recruit who would otherwise be in prison, they may be refused the right to return to prison to continue their sentence. All final judgements are made by the supervising agent.
Since the totalitarian militia took over the British government 10 years ago, Allele made it clear from the beginning that their priorities lay within strengthening Britain only, and not the other countries under the United Kingdoms.

An A-class student, always performing above his peers, Percy Grahams would achieve what others could not. However all that praise came at a price. His commitments to the academics, rather than social skills, continued into university, where even the lecturers that praised him would struggle to have meaningful conversations - most ending in Percy falling silent or excusing himself.
Unfortunately, one day during an incident involving classmates, Percy was left with a head trauma that caused the right side of his face to become paralyzed. The trauma also caused a change in his personality. He went from a quiet, socially distanced young man, to one was was almost robotic; only doing tasks when told, never interacting in conversation and forming a lack of empathy for other human beings (though this could be in part due to the incident itself, rather than any brain damage). It seemed that his academic superiority has finally made the wrong people envious.
Until Allele was created, Percy never had the opportunity to do as he wished to the people that mutilated him - so he stayed silent. Opportunity rose, however, when he was approached by fellow classmate, Mathis Weathers, and her then-boyfriend, Riley Cartwright.
Now, 10 years after founding Allele alongside Riley and Mathis, Percy can achieve what he's always wanted - revenge. Percy oversees Allele's recruitment schemes, assessing volunteers and seeing them through their training. In the past 6 years, Allele's recruitment has extended to "good behaved" incarcerate individuals - but now, recently, Percy is attempting to recruit high-threat convicts into Allele as well. Ever since the return of the death penalty, Percy hopes that one day those who are sentenced to death will instead chose to work at Allele - and in doing so, extending their lifespan for a few years.
The first to test Percy's new plan is Connor O'Deary, an Irish freedom fighter who made his opposition to Allele's rule very clear. It's a risky operation, but with Percy at the forefront, and having never failed before, he hopes that he can train the Irishman into a true Allele agent - and prove that his work will always succeed.
Not everyone could afford the same level as prestige. Studying politics in Britain’s top college, Mathis Weathers wanted a place amongst those who made the decisions. On paper, she was a brilliant politician. However, her crux was her desire to stay uncompetitive. Mathis preferred not to debate with classmates, nor convince others to follow her lead. She was a politician without a backbone; and she was the definition of a pacifist.
Mathis was only close to one of her classmates, Percy Grahams. Both her and him preferred the quiet, though his silence lasted far longer. She thought he was like her - academic, socially awkward, and unconfrontational. In hindsight, she jumped to quickly to the conclusion for that one.
Lacking a social life within her studies, Mathis looked elsewhere for a friend. This was where she met Riley Cartwright. An eccentric, arrogant (and charming), young man, with over a hundred ideas for the future of Britain. She thought he was inspiring, the way he spoke about changing the world. Unlike her classmates, and even herself, she’d never imagined rewriting history as a politician; only following what was already in place. All her dreams seemed smaller than his.
Along the way he must have convinced her she wanted to dream like him. Riley wanted her to work with him to create something great - a new party to run for government: Allele.
He had all the ideas, and he knew how to get people riled up. What he needed was Mathis’ knowledge of protocol, and the actual steps to setting up a government party - and at some point, during their late-night planning of their philosophical future, it was decided that Mathis would bring Percy Grahams into the fold. Then, she thought, at least they weren't alone against the world...
Mathis missed those nights of philosophy, when everything was just a dream. As it all became real, the happiness that Mathis had wanted began to disappear. The violence that the new Allele government brought was overwhelming, as well as the violence she saw in Riley and Percy. When recruitment began at Allele, Mathis only stayed there for a year before handing in her resignation to the man she used to love. But what Mathis didn’t realise, was that her resignation lined up coincidently with two new dreams that were growing inside her. Dreams that was going to make moving on from Allele, and Riley Cartwright, a lot harder.
