Fictitious Power was my first experiment into the world of blended fiction and academic writing. Narrated by a fictional character called Simon Atkinson, Fictitious Power follows Simon's tyrannical, but heavily researched, study into the minds capacity to story memory. Over the course of his maniac ramblings, and confidence-induced-delusions, this will lead to him achieving what he deems, 'power over your memory', as he believes that the further you read-on, the more control he has...
With an introduction written by myself, I deliver Fictitious Power as a fun, but slightly crazed, academic essay which teaches us about our memory, and how important is is to our short, and fragile, lives.
